I live in the kind of home where every season gets a small makeover-new pillow covers in fall, a brighter table setting for spring, and always, always a few “where did you get that?” corners. I run Ella Wren Living by myself: styling, writing, photographing, and saving the little lessons that don’t fit on product pages. I love decor that looks effortless but is actually thoughtful-lighting, texture, and practical layout changes that make a room feel calmer the moment you walk in.
My story
I started Ella Wren Living after I kept re-buying the same “almost right” decor items-pretty in photos, awkward in my actual space. One weekend, I tried a simple swap: moved my lamp to a different side of the couch, changed the rug size, and added one warm-toned throw instead of three random ones.
Friends noticed the difference and asked what I did. I realized I wasn’t just collecting ideas-I was learning what works in real homes. So I began saving my tweaks, then turning them into posts I wish I’d had when I was figuring everything out.
What I cover
On Ella Wren Living, you’ll find home decor tips focused on what I’ve tested in my own rooms: rug sizing, lighting placement, how to layer texture without clutter, and how to make “small budget” pieces look intentional. I’m not chasing trends-I’m troubleshooting. I share what worked, what didn’t, and the exact details (colors, placement, and quick styling steps) that helped each space feel more like home.
